Fishing Reports
Delaware Bay - The flounder fishing is holding up very well with catches from the
reef sites, Anchorage area and areas close to Lewes and Slaughter Beach.  Bluefish
and croakers are also around in decent numbers and some weakfish are also being
caught.  This is a great time to fish the Bay for a mixed bag.

Striped Bass - The striper catching is now for the schoolies but look for the keepers
to be returning late next month.

Flounder / Fluke - The flounder fishing continues to provide excellent catches. The
deeper areas of the bay seem to be holding the bigger fish but keepers are also
around Cape Henlopen.  The ocean lumps and live bottom like the Old Grounds are
also good with a mixed bag of black sea bass too.   Give me a call if you'd like to
experience this productive area and take home a mixed bag.

Croakers - The croakers have arrived and in BIG numbers! Look for the action to
continue.

Bluefish - Small blue are more abundant now than even a couple of weeks ago.
They are scattered around the Bay and provide a great thrill on light tackle when
you get into a school.

Weakfish - Only very scattered reports of weakfish to date.  This could be yet
another very tough year trying to put a good catch together.  Check back here often
as I will certainly let you know if things improve.

Ocean - The season is shaping up nicely if only the weather would cooperate.
Windy conditions has prevented fishing on a lot of day.
Bluefin and Yellowfin tuna
are in their typical offshore haunts with fish over 100 lbs and multiple hooks not
uncommon.  This fishing will continue to improve so give me a call now if you want to
experience this great and exciting fishing.

Black Sea Bass - This fishing is now underway.  The Old Grounds are producing
decent numbers and will only improve as the water continues to warm.  Big flounder
are also in the Old Grounds to provide a nice mixed bag,

Sharks - The inshore shark fishing is just about as good as it gets with Browns and
Sand Tigers providing a real good opportunity to put a good bend in the rod. You
won't believe the fight a hundred pounder will give you, let alone one over a couple
of hundred pounds.

Billfish White and blue marlin are available offshore in the canyons.  Rigged live or
dead baits are the preferred offerings.
It doesn't get any better than now so give me
a cal if you'd like to tangle with one of the spectacular fighters.
